This page is for users of the fathering.me mobile app and website. You can request that we delete your account and associated data, or that we delete some or all of your data while keeping your account.

How to submit a request

1. Fill out the form below with the email address used for your fathering.me account.
2. Check one or both boxes to tell us what you want deleted.
3. Optionally add details (for example, which child profiles or preferences to remove).
4. Submit the form. We will verify ownership and process your request typically within 30 days.

You can also delete your account in the fathering.me app: open the app, go to the You tab, tap Delete account, and confirm.

If you delete your account

Data we delete

• Account login and authentication credentials
• Profile details (name, username, preferences)
• Child profile information you added (name or nickname, birthday or due date, gender)
• In-app content tied to your account (such as tasks, notes, and preferences)
• Device push tokens associated with your account
• Newsletter signup associated with that account email, when linked to your request

Data that may be kept

• Chat or community messages: message text already shared with others may remain visible to those participants so their history stays intact; you are removed from those threads.
• Safety and abuse reports: reports you submitted or that mention your account may be retained as needed for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
• Backups and logs: limited copies may persist in encrypted backups or operational logs for a short period (typically up to 90 days) before they expire or are overwritten.
• Legal retention: we may keep information longer when required by law or needed to resolve disputes.

If you request data deletion only

Your account stays active. We delete the personal data you specify in your request (for example child profiles, preferences, or newsletter signup), subject to the same limited retention exceptions above. Login credentials and core account identity remain unless you also request full account deletion.
