While baby clothes are a necessity, buying them can be daunting & pricey. There are a lot of options, but as long as you stick to the basics, your baby will be kept warm, clean, and easy to change.
Plan ahead in terms of seasons & sizes! For the first few months, simple onesies work wonders. The wide necks & easy snaps mean they’re easy to change & perfect for diaper changes. When they get older and you take them out more, you can invest in a variety of outfits for different kinds of weather.
And they grow quickly! The clothes sizes are labeled in ranges of month, but babies are different sizes & brands size differently. But for example, picking 9-12 months for a 6-9 month old child is typically a safe bet.
Buying clothes that are durable & comfortable is far more important for your newborn than looks. Think through the clothes you buy, how often you’ll use them, and how expensive they are. And keep an eye out for discount racks & mark downs!
While not everyone feels excited or eager to buy clothes, remember that you’re contributing to memories. And you’ll get to embarrass them when you show their girlfriend or boyfriend videos in these clothes someday!
